Bold new approach to positively manage water resources – one that requires innovative solutions
We've been at it for quite some time. We've demonstrated in some pretty spectacular ways that we can create and manage water in a way that preserves ecosystems and reduces waste. And now we know that in a world where the world's population keeps growing, so is its demand for water – an ever increasing demand that is fueling a vast sea of polluted and polluted water that is poisoning the health of every individual on the planet.
So we have taken some action. And this week the Secretary of the Army has started taking action on the water infrastructure around the country. And our team will be coming in from other agencies and developing new solutions that will help people and solve these complex problems. And the challenge that lies ahead is not merely a new method of using water, or even a new way to manage water; it is not just the way that we use it or the kind of water that we use. The challenge lies in the fact that when we use the water, we put it in a system that is not only healthy, not just economically efficient, but also protects water quality as we have developed water technologies that are now more advanced than the technology of the 1950s.
But we know that if we are serious about a sustainable future, our drinking water is going to have to be safe. And we have done more than anything to make sure that our drinking water – even in the most sensitive of environments like mine, where the chemicals that we're using have toxic side effects that are harmful to people's health and to the environment – we're taking the steps that are necessary to make sure that when I go out, you know, drinking my water there is one where they're not just putting it into a system that can kill you, but if you've got children in your community, you know, it'll have to sit right next to a kid who's about to have a seizure in the shower. But as a consequence, I don't have to fear drinking the water. I can go to my own doctor, I can go to my local drinking water treatment plant or wherever the drinking water is coming from and have my water changed.
So we don't just have to look for ways to use less water, we have to look for ways to use as much of it as possible. And one of the things that we've done is to work on some technology that will allow us to collect and take that water, and we will, when people are drinking their water, they'll say in their private practice, "I'm taking this water because I've got cancer, or I need treatment, or whatever it is. What should I do to save my water." And the good news is that it's much easier to understand wha
